Together and Ready 2022-2023

What to Do If...

You testED positive with an AT-home kit

  • Go home.
  • If you cannot go home for any number of reasons, Residence Life will provide you with a room in designated campus housing.
  • Upload your positive test results to your health portal, keuka.studenthealthportal.com, and inform the Health Center at (315) 279-5368 or [email protected] that you have submitted a positive COVID-19 test.
  • Employees report a positive COVID-19 test to [email protected] or call (315) 279-5360.
  • Students and employees should also report their positive results to the New York State Department of Health Affirmation of Isolation. This form is used to inform instructors of the date you can return to in-person classes.
  • Students who are currently enrolled in a Field Period®, fieldwork, or student teaching should also contact their site supervisor and their academic advisor.

You’ve Been Tested But Do Not Have the Results Yet

  • Tell your RA immediately and either call the Health and Counseling Center 315-279-5368 or email [email protected].
  • Remain in your room, avoid contact with others and wear your mask in the hallway/bathroom.
  • Maintain all public safety practices when outside your room including wearing your mask, maintaining social distance, washing your hands, and cleaning before and after use of public restrooms. (Door handles, sink faucets, etc.)
  • Stdeunts may still attend class but must wear a mask.

Your Test Result is POSITIVE

  • If you have tested positive, you will not receive a phone call from New York State or Public Health.
  • You will be self-responsible to print off your affirmation of isolation order if you need one to provide to your employer for the New York Paid Family Leave COVID 19. If you test positive using a home test, you do not need to report it to Public Health.
  • Call your healthcare provider to see if you are eligible for an oral anti-viral medication to help prevent severe illness.
  • Individuals who test positive must remain at home and isolate for five days starting the first day of your symptom onset or, if no symptoms, the day of your COVID test.
  •  Stay away from household members and use a separate bathroom if available. Wear a well-fitting mask when it is not possible to be separate from others in the home.
  • Notify your contacts of exposure: Include people who live in your home and people who may have visited, school/work, or anyone providing in-home services. Refer them to this website to obtain their quarantine order: Affirmation of Isolation
  • If you have no symptoms or symptoms are resolving at the end of day 5, your isolation can end. You must wear a well-fitted mask around others for five additional days. If you cannot wear a mask or are moderately to severely immunocompromised, you need to stay in isolation for five more days (total of 10 days).
  • If your symptoms do not improve, or if they worsen, please call your healthcare provider. If it is a medical emergency, call 911.

You've Been Told to Quarantine

  • Tell your RA immediately and either call the Health and Counseling Center at (315) 279-5368 or email [email protected].
  • Remain in your room, do not go to class, wear your mask in the hallway/ bathroom.
  • The Health and Counseling Center will be in contact with directions on where to quarantine.
  • Maintain all public-safety practices when outside your room including wearing your mask, maintaining social distance, washing your hands, and cleaning before and after use of public restrooms. (Door handles, sink faucets, etc.).
  • This will only apply to exempt students. All other students are required to be vaccinated and therefore only have to quarantine if symptomatic and waiting on a PCR test result.
