The Academic Learning Commons: Phase 2

The Academic Learning Commons in Lightner Library has been an invigorating addition to our campus. The space has been transformed into an open, sun-filled area for research and study, complete with workstations, dining booths, the popular ASK Desk, and a new snack shop called Market C.

Phase 2 of this project will expand this space on the lower level of Lightner Library, providing students with additional study stations, as well as a presentation area.

This project is scheduled to be complete mid-August 2023.

Emergency Generators: Phase 1

Emergency generators are being installed in several campus buildings, including Space Hall, Saunders Hall, and the Dahlstrom Student Center. In the event of a power outage, the generators will help keep essential buildings and living spaces online for student use.

Transfer switches have been installed at all three buildings. The next phase of this project is to install the physical generators.

The generators are expected to be installed in Fall 2023.

Saunders Hall Renovation

Saunders Hall has been taken offline for the 2023-24 academic year to undergo extensive renovations. Work will include upgrades to student rooms, common spaces, and bathrooms. Additional study and lounge areas will be added, along with the installation of a new elevator.

This project is scheduled to be completed by June 2024.
