Biography

Dr. Holly Young teaches the science sequence courses in the Occupational Therapy program, including Anatomy & Physiology and Kinesiology. She has been at Keuka College since 2010 and came from Penn State University where she earned a PhD in Kinesiology and master's degree in Biology.  She also earned a teaching certificate at Penn State University through the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence. Prior to attending Penn State, she was a research assistant at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Young’s current research is focused on determining the validity and reliability of mobile device applications used to measure body joint range of motion as compared to the standard goniometer. She has presented this research with her graduate students at the American Occupational Therapy Association national conference.

In 2017, Dr. Young received the Perry Education Professional Alumni Award given in honor of Corning Community College’s first President, Dr. William L. Perry. The award recognizes an alum who has chosen the field of education as a career and is considered an outstanding educator. She also received the Keuka College Honor Society, Sigma Alpha Pi, Student Appreciation Award in 2014.
