USAF Band of Liberty's Bay State Winds Clarinet Quartet to Perform Aug. 25
KEUKA PARK, N.Y.—The United States Air Force Band of Liberty’s Bay State Winds clarinet quartet will perform at Keuka College Tuesday, Aug. 25.
The program begins at 7 p.m. in Norton Chapel and is free and open to the public (no tickets required).
The Bay State Winds is one of the newer chamber ensembles of the Band of Liberty. Comprised of members of the Liberty Pops, it provides musical support for a wide variety of military and civilian functions, and performs regularly with the Chamber Winds ensemble. The group’s repertoire is diverse, including classical, Broadway, patriotic, jazz, and original arrangements.
The Band of Liberty, one of 10 Air Force bands nationwide, is stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base near Boston, Mass. Showcasing the talents of 60 active-duty musicians, the group has performed throughout the New England region and beyond—including Keuka College— since 1978. It has appeared at such venues as Lincoln Center in New York City and the Hatch Shell in Boston.
