Keuka College prides itself on supporting well-rounded student-athletes – scholars equally adept at meeting the demands of both athletics and academics.
The success of this philosophy was once again borne out this past fall, as Keuka College’s student-athletes continued their tradition of excelling in the classroom. The Wolves posted a combined 3.26 grade-point average – one of four schools in the Empire 8 to have a GPA greater than 3.25.
The College saw 87 student-athletes earn Empire 8 President’s List Distinction by having a grade point average of at least 3.75. In addition, a school-record 11 programs were named as Empire 8 Conference All-Academic Teams, indicating they attained a team GPA of at least 3.20 for the fall semester.
Leading the way was the Men’s Cross Country team with a 3.70 grade-point average. Women’s Volleyball was in second with a 3.64 and Women’s Cross Country tied with Women’s Soccer for third with GPAs of 3.56.
The Softball and Men’s Soccer teams saw the most student-athletes named to the President’s List with 13 each. Women’s Soccer was close behind with 11. All 16 varsity programs had at least one student-athlete named to the President’s List.
Finally, 29 student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 GPA. The Women’s Soccer team had seven, tops among College teams. The Baseball team led all men’s teams with five players posting a 4.0.
